Assisi: what would Francis and Clare have said about the expenses?

Is there irony that in a place where two saints lived a very simple existence, such expenses would be incurred?

That said, time spent reflecting on the lives of Saint Francis and Saint Clare was a treasure. Our group also had the pleasure of experiencing the town of Assisi and the food, music and shops of the region.
